ABOUT CURED & CUT

Katelyn Nemelka is the owner of Cured and Cut LLC, she’s a Utah native with roots from Moab and also grew up on the beautiful beaches of Maui, Hawaii. 

​

Katelyn is a big family gal and adores her little family. She has been married for 14 years and has three incredible kids. 

​

She has worked in the food industry in one way or another her entire life. When she stepped away from her serving job of eleven years she was ready to find herself again, wanting to contribute to her family's income but also be home with her kids. She never meant to start her own catering company but as she explored her options nothing fit quite right. Cured and Cut started as a hobby and has turned into an incredible company. Throughout creating her brand she has established many friendships and has built a community of deep rooted friendships. She has the support and backing from many reputable business owners and plans to continue to build her company into an empire for generations to come.

She loves to expand her knowledge and share her creative passion with others through her charcuterie classes. When she isn’t in the kitchen you can find her traveling and spending quality time with her family and friends.

LEARNING FROM A LEGEND

Working with Karen Ormsby & Oakford Gourmet Selections

When Katelyn was establishing herself as a charcuterie artist she came across Oakford Gourmet's Instagram and she loved the work ethic and person behind the page. Little did she know that one day Karen would become not just a mentor but a best friend. Katelyn and Karen met at a women’s retreat in Zions where they shared life stories, struggles, and lots of laughs.

 

They became quick friends and always supported each other’s businesses. They have never looked at each other as competitors but as allies. One of the things Katelyn loves most about the community of women and business she is established in, is that “There is room for everyone at the top.” 

​

That is the mentality that Karen and Katelyn share. They have experienced great friendship, sending each other referrals and have traveled together to some fun places. As Karen has moved back to Australia, Katelyn has chosen to move forward not just with her own company but to continue to give incredible services to all of Oakford Gourmets clients.

 

They both hope that you will welcome Katelyn as your catering provider and enjoy her charcuterie tables, platters, and specialty desserts.

Katelyn is so fun to be around! I have taken a couple of her charcuterie classes- she teaches you how to make them pretty while ensuring you’re having a good time. She also breaks down things about cheese which is so helpful because this overwhelms me at the store! Her cookies and tarts are absolutely delicious and every spread she makes is beautiful!
